Brecksville, Ohio, is a city in Cuyahoga County with a population of 13,684 (2020). It is located 13 miles south of Cleveland, at the intersection of Interstate 77 and State Route 82. The city experiences a humid continental climate with hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Brecksville was founded in 1811 by a group of settlers from Connecticut and was named after Joseph Breck, one of the original settlers. The city's heritage is reflected in its many historic buildings, including the Brecksville Town Hall and the Brecksville Methodist Church.
