Böbrach is a municipality in the district of Regen, in Bavaria, Germany. It is located in the Bavarian Forest, at an altitude of 485 meters. The municipality has a population of around 1,600 people. The climate is temperate, with average temperatures ranging from -1°C in January to 18°C in July. Böbrach was first mentioned in a document in 1130. The town was granted market rights in 1396. In the 19th century, Böbrach became a center of the glass industry. The town's heritage includes the ruins of a 13th-century castle, the Pfarrkirche St. Nikolaus (a 15th-century church), and the Rathaus (a 16th-century town hall).
