Bessières is a commune in the Tarn department in southern France, part of the Occitanie region. It is located approximately 12 km (7.5 mi) north of Toulouse, in the canton of Castanet-Tolosan. It was once home to a Benedictine abbey, which was founded in the 10th century. The abbey was destroyed during the French Revolution, but its ruins can still be seen today.
