Baganga, also known as Central, is a municipality in the province of Davao Oriental, Philippines, located at 7.5738900 latitude and 126.5600000 longitude. The municipality has a tropical rainforest climate with an average temperature of 27.5 °C (81.5 °F) and an average annual rainfall of 2,000 mm (79 in). Baganga was founded in 1840 by a group of Manobo settlers and was named after the Baganga River, which flows through the municipality. The municipality is home to several historical and heritage sites, including the Baganga Church, which was built in 1842, and the Baganga Museum, which houses a collection of artifacts and documents related to the municipality's history and culture.
