Bắc Kạn is a city in the Bắc Kạn Province of Vietnam, located in the northeast of the country. It is situated at an elevation of 150 meters and experiences a tropical monsoon climate with an average temperature of 23.4°C. The city has a rich history and heritage, with archaeological evidence suggesting human habitation in the area dating back to the Neolithic period. It was once the capital of the independent Tày people and was later incorporated into the Vietnamese kingdom in the 15th century.
