Ashton is a town in Fremont County, Idaho, United States. It is located at the confluence of the Teton River and the Henrys Fork, and is the gateway to Yellowstone National Park. The town was founded in 1881 by Mormon settlers, and is named after Ashton R. Cutler, a local church leader. Ashton has a population of 1,127 (2010 census), and is known for its beautiful scenery, outdoor recreation opportunities, and friendly people.
