Armyansk, also known as Armjansk, is a city in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukraine, located in the north of the peninsula, at 46.1079° N, 33.6938° E. The city has a humid continental climate, with an average temperature of 10.8°C (51.4°F) and an average annual precipitation of 423 mm (16.7 in). Armyansk was founded in 1736 as a military outpost, and later became a major center of salt production. The city's heritage includes a number of historical buildings, including the Church of the Holy Trinity, built in 1840.
