Aran, also known as Zoni, is a small town located in southeastern Turkey, in the Mardin Province. Situated at an altitude of 1,050 meters (3,445 feet), the town has a temperate climate with hot, dry summers and cold, wet winters. Its rich history and heritage are evident in its ancient architecture, including the 12th-century Great Mosque and the 14th-century Zinciriye Medresesi.
