Anzhero-Sudzhensk is a city in the Kemerovo region of Russia, located at the confluence of the Sudzhenka and Yaya rivers. The city has a continental climate with cold winters and warm summers. The city was founded in 1928 as a coal mining center and is home to a number of historical and cultural sites, including the Anzhero-Sudzhensk Museum of Local Lore.
