Amaga is a town in the province of Agusan del Norte, Caraga, Philippines, located at 8.5308300 latitude and 126.0702800 longitude. The town has a tropical climate, with average temperatures ranging from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius throughout the year. Amaga's history dates back to the pre-colonial period, when it was inhabited by the Manobo people. The town was later settled by Spanish missionaries in the 16th century, and became a part of the Spanish East Indies. After the Philippine Revolution, Amaga became a part of the United States' Insular Government, and later the Commonwealth of the Philippines.
