Alcolea de Cinca, Aragon, Spain is a municipality located in the province of Huesca, in the autonomous community of Aragon. The village is situated on the left bank of the Cinca River, at an altitude of 188 meters above sea level. The climate is continental, with hot summers and cold winters. The average annual temperature is 14.5 °C, and the average annual precipitation is 450 mm. The history of Alcolea de Cinca dates back to the Roman period, when it was known as "Vicus Alcolea". The village was later occupied by the Arabs, who built a castle on the site of the present-day church. After the Reconquista, Alcolea de Cinca was granted a charter by King Alfonso I of Aragon in 1134. The village has a rich architectural heritage, including the Church of San Miguel, which dates back to the 12th century, and the Castle of Alcolea de Cinca, which was built in the 15th century.
