Al Jīzah, also known as Al Jizah, is a small town in Jordan, located in the Amman Governorate, approximately 25 kilometers northwest of the capital city of Amman. The town is situated at an elevation of 840 meters above sea level and experiences a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Al Jīzah has a rich history dating back to the Roman period and is home to several archaeological sites, including the ruins of a Roman temple and a Byzantine church. The town is also known for its traditional handicrafts, particularly its pottery and embroidery.
