Akçadağ, formerly known as Arga, is a town in the Malatya Province of Turkey. It is located in the eastern part of the country, at an altitude of 1,350 meters. The town has a cold and snowy climate, with average temperatures ranging from -2°C in January to 25°C in July. Akçadağ has a rich history, dating back to the Hittite period. The town was once an important center of trade and commerce, and it was also home to a number of historical monuments, including the Akçadağ Castle.
