Yūsaku Katō (1901-1945) was a Japanese businessman and horse owner from Saitama Prefecture. After graduating from a maritime school, he entered the publishing industry and became a director at Heibonsha before founding his own company, Hihonkaku. He was known for his involvement in horse racing, owning notable racehorses such as Kumohata and Seint Light, the first classic Triple Crown horse in Japanese racing history. Katō passed away at the age of 44 due to air raid-related injuries during World War II.
