Yury Mihailovich Beledin (January 17, 1935 – May 13, 2014) was a Soviet and Russian prose writer, poet, journalist, and historian. He is known for authoring one of the first guides to the 'Stalingrad Battle' panorama museum and was a strong advocate for renaming the Pavlov House to the Soldier's Glory House. Beledin also revealed that the commander of the defense of the famous Pavlov House was actually Ivan Afanasyev. He was a member of the Union of Journalists of the USSR since 1963 and later of Russia since 1992.
