Yuki Inoue (February 9, 1931 – April 20, 1999) was a Japanese writer, essayist, and poet, best known for her 1980 biography 'Mémoires d'une geisha' (Kuruwa no Onna). She earned a degree in literature from Kanazawa Gakuin College and was recognized with an honorable mention for her work in the Sōichi Ōya Prize in 1981. Inoue's writing explores the life of a geisha, offering a vivid insight into their rigorous training and personal experiences. She also published poetry in a haiku magazine.
