Yūichi Tsuda is a Japanese space scientist born on June 26, 1975. He specializes in guidance control, solar system exploration, and spacecraft systems. He obtained a Doctor of Engineering degree from the University of Tokyo in March 2003. Tsuda is a professor at JAXA and an associate professor at the Graduate University for Advanced Studies. He is recognized for his role as project manager for the Hayabusa2 asteroid exploration mission and served as a sub-team leader for the IKAROS space yacht project. He has also contributed to the development of the M-V rocket and the operation of the Hayabusa spacecraft.
