Yūichi Hasegawa, born on April 25, 1961, is a Japanese manga artist, doujin author, and special effects critic from Sawara, Chiba Prefecture (now part of Katori City). He is known for his works such as 'Maps', 'Dai-Sword', 'Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam', 'Isami', 'Dancouga BURN', and 'Chrono Eyes', as well as his SF critique of Toei's special effects series in 'We Will Protect with Awesome Science!'. He occasionally works under the pseudonym Yūji Hasegawa and is the younger brother of scriptwriter and actor Katsumi Hasegawa.
