Yue Qi, originally named Qi Binru, was a prominent Chinese broadcaster and the first male broadcaster in the history of the People's Republic of China. Born on February 23, 1922, in Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia, he played a crucial role in the development of broadcasting in the new China. Yue Qi was also the first professor of broadcasting in the country, significantly contributing to the field's educational foundation. He passed away on November 7, 1993.
