Yuanhua Wang (November 30, 1920 – May 9, 2008) was a Chinese scholar and literary theorist from Shashi, Hubei. He served as a professor and doctoral supervisor at East China Normal University, and was a representative to the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Wang played a pivotal role in the 'New Enlightenment Movement' of the 1980s in mainland China, advocating for the revival of the Enlightenment spirit of the May Fourth Movement. In 1988, he founded the magazine 'New Enlightenment' in Shanghai.
