Yu Jishi was a Chinese Nationalist military general born on May 1, 1904, in Fenghua, Zhejiang. He gained recognition for his service during the Battle of Shanghai, where he was notably wounded while leading a defense. Following the war, he retreated to Taiwan with the Nationalist government, where he continued his military career within the defence ministry until his passing on January 25, 1990.
