Yosyp Kobiv (January 10, 1910 - November 22, 2001) was a Ukrainian classical philologist and professor at the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko. He was a member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine since 1992 and became a full member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in 1993. Kobiv was awarded the Maxym Rylskiy Prize for his translations of works by Plutarch and Plato.
