Yōko Mochizuki (July 3, 1931 - March 22, 2009) was a Japanese author and researcher specializing in the history of East-West cultural interactions. Born in Osaka, she graduated from the Ecole Pratique in Paris. In 1988, she received the Yomiuri Literary Prize for her work 'The Life of Hepburn and the Japanese Language'. She was previously married to linguist Watanabe Minoru.
