Yi's significant works include 'Does spring come to these stripped lands?' which captured the plights of Koreans under colonialism, using nature as a metaphor for loss and defiance. His literary contributions left a lasting impact, and he remains a symbol of resistance in Korea. Yi passed away from cancer in 1943.
