Yasuko Komeda is a Japanese poet born on February 18, 1947, in Nara Prefecture. She is a member of the Cosmos Tanka Association and the Contemporary Poets Association. In 1995, she contributed to the journal 'Sanbashi'. Besides poetry, she has worked in agriculture in Gojo City. Komeda enrolled in Osaka Women's University in 2000, graduating in 2004. She received the 17th Kadan Prize in 2006 for her collection entitled 'Mizujikara', consisting of 30 poems.
