Yasuhiro Takeda (born May 14, 1952) is a Japanese philosopher and educator known for promoting a philosophical perspective rooted in Socratic tradition. He serves as the director of Shirakaba Educational Center and was the founding director of the Shirakaba Literary Museum. Takeda is recognized for his critiques of modern philosophical education, enforced haircut regulations in schools, and corporal punishment. In 2009, he was appointed as a guest researcher by the Senate Administrative Oversight Committee to lecture on the philosophical foundations of the Japanese Constitution to government officials.
