Yannis Pappas was a Greek sculptor born on March 13, 1913. He was one of the most important modern Greek sculptors active in the second half of the 20th century in Greece. Pappas uniquely adapted the teachings of the post-Renaissance French school to the Greek context, creating works that contributed significantly to the development of contemporary Greek sculpture.
