Ioannis Palamiotis was a Greek triple jumper born on November 15, 1915, and passed away on February 5, 2010. He competed in the 1938 European Athletics Championships in Paris, where he finished fourth. Palamiotis had notable success at the Balkan Games, winning three consecutive titles from 1938 to 1940. In 1939, he won the English Championships, setting a national record with a jump of 15.03 meters, which stood for nearly 17 years. His athletic career spanned several important competitions throughout the late 1930s and early 1950s.
