He is the founding chairman of the Taiwan Association for China Human Rights and served as an aide to Lu Hsiu-lien. Currently, he is a director of the Central Broadcasting System and hosts the program "Serving the People - Yang Hsien-hung's Time." He also frequently appears as a guest on television commentary programs and is a columnist for "Reading News."
