Yakyim Prokhorovych Zapasko (August 28, 1923 – October 1, 2007) was a prominent Ukrainian book scholar and art historian. He became a Doctor of Arts in 1974 and was an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. A significant figure in Ukrainian culture, he was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine in 2003 and received the I. Ya. Franko prize in 1998. Zapasko was also a member of various scholarly associations and contributed to the preservation of cultural heritage in Ukraine.
