Xoán-Manuel Casado Martínez was a Galician poet born in Barcelona in 1949. He was the son of writer and poet Manuel Casado Nieto. Casado studied law at the Central University of Barcelona and published two novels: 'O inverno do lobo' (1986), which won the Blanco-Amor Prize, and 'Os brasileiros' (1985). His poetry gained recognition with works like 'Rexistro de Menores espantos' (1973) and 'Antigo futuro' (1986). A posthumous collection titled 'Crónica persoal' (2006) includes published and unpublished poems.
