Wu-Li Yu-ke (1901-1991) was a Taiwanese artist known for pioneering the naive art movement in Taiwan. Originally from Fujian, she moved to Taiwan in 1949, where she supported her son's artistic pursuits while creating her own art. She was encouraged to paint in oil around 1959 and depicted nostalgic rural themes and family life. Her first exhibition in 1960 marked her emergence as the first Taiwanese naive artist, leading to increased recognition. Wu continued to create and expand her art until her passing in 1991 due to a heart attack.
