He was known for his scholarly work on the writings of Bruno Schulz and Józef Czechowicz, as well as his studies on Jewish traditions in Polish literature and culture. His interests extended to the works of Zbigniew Herbert, Leo Lipski, and Aleksander Wat, as well as Orthodox tradition and iconography.
