Władysław Jan Milata was a Polish geographer and climatologist born on May 30, 1911, in Cieszyn and died on December 25, 1954, in Kraków. He served as a professor at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and was an officer in the meteorological service of the Polish Air Force in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he was active in promoting tourism within Poland.
