William 'Bill' Alexander Switzer was a Canadian politician from Alberta known for his service during World War II as a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force. After the war, he became the Mayor of Hinton, Alberta. Switzer later served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1965 to 1969 representing the Liberal caucus in opposition. His contributions were recognized posthumously when the Government of Alberta named William A. Switzer Provincial Park in his honour two years after his death.
