He advised them on methods and suggested that suicide was a viable option. His actions led to the deaths of Mark Drybrough and Nadia Kajouji, with initial convictions later overturned. Ultimately, he was convicted of one count of assisting suicide and one count of attempted assisting suicide, serving 178 days in jail with a subsequent 10-year probation.
