William Feaver, born on December 1, 1942, is a British art critic, curator, artist, and lecturer. He served as the chief art critic for The Observer from 1975 to 1998 and has been a visiting professor at Nottingham Trent University since 1994. Feaver is also the author of the book 'The Pitmen Painters,' which inspired a play by Lee Hall. His contributions to the art world have made him a respected figure in contemporary British art.
