William Dean Christensen, also known as The American Jack the Ripper, was a Canadian-American serial killer active between 1982 and 1983. He was responsible for the murders and mutilation of at least four individuals in Canada and the United States, and is suspected in 20 additional killings worldwide. Convicted of two murders in Pennsylvania, he received a life sentence plus 40 years for rape in Maryland. However, he died three years into his imprisonment.
