Willi Soukop (1907-1995) was a notable sculptor and a member of the Royal Academy. He is recognized for his contributions to the art world and was an early teacher of sculptor Elisabeth Frink. His prominent works can be seen at Hull University, particularly in front of the Brynmor Jones Library, where two significant bas-relief sculptures—one of an owl and another representing human knowledge—are featured above the main entrance.
