Will Steger is a prominent advocate for Arctic understanding and preservation, known for leading significant dog sledding expeditions. Notable achievements include being the first confirmed dog sledder to reach the North Pole in 1986, completing a 1,600-mile traverse of Greenland, and leading the historic 1990 Trans-Antarctic Expedition. He co-founded the Center for Global Environmental Education in 1991 and established the Will Steger Foundation in 2006 to address climate change.
