Werner Prosetzky was a German officer and a major figure in the East German Ministry of State Security (Stasi). Born on September 21, 1929, in Friedrichsthal, he rose to the rank of Generalmajor. Prosetzky served as a full-time member of the Main Administration for Reconnaissance (HVA), where he was the deputy to the head of HVA, playing a crucial role in the intelligence operations of East Germany until his death on December 24, 2004, in Berlin.
