He graduated from Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 1952 and became a key figure in the electronic music scene in the late 1950s, collaborating with notable artists like Anna Halprin and Robert Morris. Jepson created diverse works, including film and ballet scores, and exhibited his sculpture and photography at the San Francisco Museum of Art. He earned an Emmy Award in 1974 for his contributions to KQED. Jepson passed away on July 5, 2011.
