Karl Walter Bernhard Persson was a Swedish meteorologist born on December 5, 1905, in Mora. He graduated from Örebro and earned his degree from Uppsala University in 1931. Persson worked as a meteorological observer and later as an aviation meteorologist at Swedish airports from 1932 to 1936. He served as the head of aviation weather services at SMHA from 1936 and was promoted to acting bureau director in 1949. He participated in UN missions in Syria and represented Sweden at several international aviation meteorology conferences. He passed away on February 22, 1972.
