Walter Marty is a Swiss politician born on September 18, 1962, in Ellighausen. He served as the mayor of Kemmental from 2000 to 2019 and unexpectedly resigned to take the position of municipal clerk in Trüllikon. Marty was a member of the Thurgau cantonal parliament from 2006 to 2019, serving as president of the Audit and Finance Committee from 2016 to 2018 and as president of the SVP Thurgau from 2008 to 2013. He is married and has two children, residing in Frauenfeld since 2019.
