Walter Creighton Brown (August 8, 1913 – July 15, 2002) was an American herpetologist known for his extensive research on reptiles and amphibians from the South Pacific and the Philippines. He served as a soldier in World War II in New Guinea and earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1955. Brown later worked as a Fulbright Professor at Silliman University in the Philippines and described 65 new species of reptiles, with several species named in his honor.
