Walter Bäck was an Austrian writer born on February 23, 1931, in Vienna and passed away on May 1, 2004. After working as an accountant, he became a full-time writer in 1964, contributing around 2,500 articles and various literary works, including radio broadcasts and poems. He founded the First Floridsdorf Literature Café and the First Marchfeld Literature Salon. Bäck received several awards for his contributions to literature, including the Theodor Körner Prize in 1975. He spent most of his life in Vienna and was also known for his involvement in the community.
