Walkíria Afonso Costa, known as Walk or Wal, was a Brazilian university student, teacher, and militant of the Communist Party of Brazil (PCdoB) during the Brazilian military dictatorship. She disappeared in December 1973 during a military operation in the Araguaia guerrilla in Tocantins. The exact date of her disappearance and death is unknown, but she was killed by the military during an operation, and her remains have never been found. Her case has been investigated by the Truth Commission, which looks into political deaths and disappearances during the dictatorship.
