Walid Gholmieh was a Lebanese musician and violinist, born in Marjeyoun in 1938. He was best known for his role as president of the National Higher Conservatory of Music in Lebanon, a position he held until his death in 2011. Gholmieh was influential in the field of music and contributed significantly to the enrichment of musical education in Lebanon.
