Wade Rathke is a prominent community and labor activist born in 1948, known for founding ACORN in 1970 and SEIU Local 100 in 1980. He served as ACORN's chief organizer until June 2008 and still leads ACORN International and United Labor Unions Local 100. Beyond activism, he is the editor-in-chief of Social Policy magazine and has published four books. Rathke also manages radio stations KABF in Little Rock and WAMF in New Orleans, maintaining a significant presence in both local media and community organizing.
