H. Wade MacLauchlan is a Canadian academic and politician, who served as the 32nd Premier of Prince Edward Island from 2015 to 2019. His government was defeated in the general election held on April 23, 2019, after one term in office. Following the election loss, MacLauchlan resigned as leader of the Liberal Party on May 8, 2019, after Robert Mitchell was chosen as acting leader.
